New Product Offered for Short Term Travelers

CIEB introduces the latest product offering among the suite of solutions for multinational companies and their employees, Global Health Advantage: Short Term Abroad^SM (GHA STA). GHA STA allows the employer to control costs and provides coverage to an employee that is on assignment for 3 to 24 months, excluding the United States and the home country. Short Term Abroad offers employers with five or more international assignees an array of advantages:

Covered routine care and prescription drugs.
Four standard plan designs.
Transportable away-from-home coverage. Coverage provided by Short Term Abroad is primary to domestic-based coverage while away from the home country.
Clinical case management, including outreach, coordination, and intervention for members with medical, pharmaceutical, or emergency needs.
Physician-directed access to medical and dental providers around the world.
Access to CIEB clinical resources for outreach, coordination, and intervention.
A fully customizable medical benefits program with multiple coverage options including International Employee Assistance Program, Dental, and Evacuation/Repatriation.

CIEB's Short Term Abroad coverage offers your globally mobile employees health care benefits ' and the freedom to choose any doctor or hospital. Expatriates are covered anywhere outside the U.S. or home country. They must retain home country coverage, making it easier to administer since you don't have to change their benefits when they relocate. eCleveland Clinic Benefits Members'.

CIEB members have free access to expert remote second opinions through e-Cleveland Clinic. Through a secure log-in, CIEB members may request a second opinion by supplying the requested medical records and the first opinion. A Cleveland Clinic physician thoroughly reviews the medical history and original test results before rendering an expert second opinion. Patients are able to refer to their second opinion 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Upon request, a copy of the opinion is sent to the patient's primary care provider. A Cleveland Clinic nurse coordinator will then follow up with each patient via telephone to ensure that the information provided in the second opinion is understood and that all of the patient's questions have been answered. CIEB's partnership with eCleveland Clinic helps empower patients by giving them the resources they need to make wise decisions regarding their health, regardless of geographic location. New Count on Network Numbers

CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits offers one of the largest international provider networks available, featuring access to thousands of prescreened doctors, dentists, hospitals, and clinics in locations around the world. We selected those providers whom we have identified as preferred in their geographic area, based upon a number of different selection criteria.

Our international networks provide CIEB members access to more than 90,000 international providers, including more than 45,000 international providers listed on the member web portal, www.CIGNAenvoy.com. Within that network, approximately 43,000 international providers have preferred fee schedules pre-arranged with CIEB.

CIEB members in the United States and Puerto Rico have access to the national PPO network, which includes approximately 8,700 hospitals, 520,000 physicians and 21,600 ancillary providers for a total of 550,300 providers. Members with optional dental coverage who seek care in the U.S. have access to CIGNA's dental network. All U.S./Puerto Pico provider networks are accessible online or by calling our 24/7/365 multilingual Customer Contact Center.

CIEB also offers an Open Access Plus (OAP) network within the United States that may be the right choice for your scenario. Contact your broker or CIEB sales representative to see if the OAP network makes sense for your employees.
