CIEB “Goes Green” with Electronic ID Cards
In CIEB’s ongoing efforts to reduce waste and carbon emissions, electronic ID cards are now available for print from the CIEB secure web portal at www.CIGNAenvoy.com. Although CIEB has offered printable temporary ID cards for years, this new version of the cards will contain all the necessary identification information, serve as the permanent ID card, and eventually they will replace the need for plastic cards. Expatriate customers can print the electronic ID card from CIGNA Envoy at any time while the policy is active. New customers will receive an email with the necessary information to register for CIGNA Envoy, which will allow them to print the card. In the future, clients will be able to choose to only offer expatriates personal printed ID cards in place of the plastic ID cards. Not only is this more convenient for CIEB customers, who will now have their ID card immediately available to them through CIGNA Envoy, but it will lessen the impact that printing the plastic cards has on the environment.
In addition to electronic ID cards, customers are encouraged to take full advantage of everything CIGNA Envoy has to offer. Expatriates and their covered dependents can access their personal coverage details and benefits information, search for a health care facility, submit claims, and communicate securely with the CIEB International Service Center.
CIGNA Envoy offers an array of health tools to help your employees during the transition to expatriate life. Country Guides are available to learn about general cultural and practical health information. Another feature available through CIGNA Envoy is the Medical Translation Tool for translations of pharmaceutical terms, medical terms, and phrases in to the local language. CIEB also offers downloadable podcasts that cover a range of health and travel information topics to ease the transition into life on assignment.
