GHA 10+: Meeting the Individual Needs of the Employer
Highlighted this month is Global Health Advantage® 10+ (GHA 10), a highly customizable product offered by CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits (CIEB).
As part of the Global Health Advantage product family, GHA 10+ offers your globally mobile employees a range of benefits including covered routine care and prescription drugs, clinical case management for members with medical, pharmaceutical, or emergency needs, physician-directed access to medical and dental providers around the world, and transportable away-from-home coverage.
It is specifically designed to accommodate the growing need for flexibility in plan offerings to employees. In designing a GHA 10+ plan, the CIEB sales and implementation teams take a consultative, common sense, and measured approach to select the design that will meet any unique international coverage requirements, whether the company is just entering the international arena or has substantial global presence.
GHA 10+ offers employers with 10 or more expatriates the option to purchase stand-alone medical coverage with or without additional dental, life, pharmacy management, LTD and/or AD&D benefits. By providing a high-level of customization, CIEB can meet the needs of your organization cost-effectively while providing the coverage your valued employees deserve.

Spotlight on a CIEB Medical Director
The CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits (CIEB) clinical team assists members with their need to obtain the proper, prompt care they deserve and is led by two skilled International Medical Directors. One director, Dr. Lyndon Laminack, uses his immense international experience to provide our members with easy access to centers of medical excellence around the world.
As a former expatriate who has lived in India, France, and Singapore, Dr. Laminack has directed alarm centers that handle medical emergencies and conducted site surveys for regional hospitals. Dr. Laminack's first-hand expatriate experience allows him to empathize with CIEB members and provides him a wealth of knowledge about international health care systems.
As director, Dr. Laminack manages CIEB's strategic alliance with International SOS® (Intl. SOS®), the world's leading provider of emergency response and support services, and focuses on CIEB members' accessibility to Intl. SOS®' networks and quality services. Dr. Laminack also works with Intl. SOS® experts to research hospitals for the CIEB provider network, determining whether the facility meets the stringent criteria for medical centers of excellence. Dr. Laminack conducts field visits and reviews new and existing providers to ensure that providers adhere to standards of quality.
Dr. Laminack also maintains relationships with clients' medical departments and directs the CIEB Medical Advisors Council, which includes clinical representatives from several CIEB clients. Interactions with clients' medical departments are significant in CIEB's ability to provide services in alignment with client philosophies. The council serves as a key component to help ensure that CIEB is meeting client expectations.
As International Medical Director, Dr. Laminack focuses on proactively preparing expatriates by taking measures such as determining prescription availability and ensuring accessible service and support while expatriates are on assignment. Whether a routine medical concern or a more urgent situation arises, Dr. Laminack prepares his team to provide extensive member support.
