CIEB Expands Russia Network
CIEB has expanded its international direct pay network in Russia to include 4,000 hospitals and clinics, growing its already-extensive network. CIEB offers access to more than 124,000 global health care professionals, delivering unprecedented access to care for expatriates, globally mobile employees, and their family members worldwide.
The Russia network provides significant discounts and a direct pay option, offering the convenience of cashless settlement of claims. Health care professionals are strategically located in areas with a high concentration of expatriates, such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, to further facilitate access to health care.
“As a carrier with one of the broadest international networks, CIEB’s ongoing strategy is to continuously expand access to care and offer a growing selection of direct pay health care professionals, delivering superior value to the more than 300,000 customers currently covered by CIEB,” said Sonny Patel, Vice President of CIGNA's Global Health Solutions.
Additionally, the health care network alliance in Russia will have access to the CIGNA Envoy Provider Portal, an industry-leading web portal for CIEB’s international network of doctors and hospitals. Through CIGNA Envoy, health care professionals have instant access to eligibility verification and benefit details at the point-of-service.
CIGNA Compass – What is it?
In October 2009, CIEB announced CIGNA Compass, a customer benefits interactive, developed to help expatriates and their dependents more fully understand and utilize their CIEB benefits program. CIGNA Compass is available through CIGNAenvoy.com and uses both on-screen text and audio/video prompting to guide customers though a variety of benefits explanations, podcasts, tools, and other information that will enable them to maximize the value of their CIEB benefits program. CIGNA Compass is a unique supplement to the Expatriate Benefits Kit that no other international benefits carrier is offering.

Upgrades to CIEB North America Call Centers
CIEB is pleased to announce some exciting changes to its service centers, including the addition of Spanish-speaking Customer Service Representatives, segmentation of calls based on the caller’s inquiry and changes to greetings and announcements. Effective January 1, 2010, CIEB began using a revised, shortened greeting for our callers which results in a 20-second reduction in message length.
In addition to the greeting changes, the following call routing changes will be effective January 15, 2010:
Addition of Spanish option immediately following the greeting: Having a dedicated Spanish-speaking team will provide our callers with greater, faster service during our peak hours of operation.
Implementation of Call Segmentation: Callers will be able to choose from the following options depending on the reason for their call: Claims, Benefits/Eligibility, PIN Reset/Password, and an option for all other questions.
CIEB is continually improving to best serve our valued clients and customers.

Andrew Kielty Named Senior Vice President of CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits – CIGNA (NYSE:CI) Andrew Kielty was named senior vice president and managing director of CIEB. Kielty joins CIGNA from BUPA, where he spent more than 25 years in a variety of leadership positions in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
