Why Choose CIEB?
By servicing globally mobile employees in more than 205 countries and jurisdictions through true international experience and knowledge, CIEB has developed expertise in international underwriting and global medical protocols with an emphasis on international regulatory compliance. CIEB helps protect the overseas investments of clients by facilitating access to health services for employees on international assignment through industry-leading product lines. Accommodating the clients’ global benefits strategy and serving the needs of their international employee populations aligns with CIEB’s mission.
CIEB’s benefit programs provide customizable coverage options for employers with expatriates, international business travelers, third country nationals, and U.S.-bound expatriates. CIEB distinguishes itself from competitors in several key areas: network partnerships, local presence, innovative services and technology, and international knowledge and expertise.
CIEB’s deep international experience provides insight and capabilities to meet the health care needs of international employees in ways that new entrants or domestic plans simply cannot duplicate. While other carriers may have limitations from their domestic-based platforms when processing international transactions, CIEB uses an international platform that it has built from its years of experience. A domestic plan or so-called “international” plan that is built on a domestic-based operations platform is not an advantage in the international arena.
CIEB’s international platform enables us to deliver expedited claims turnaround and multiple reimbursement options. The innovations inherent in CIEB’s processes enable us to operate within numerous currencies, in multiple languages, in all time zones, and across many national borders.
