CIEB Launches CIGNALinks Africa
CIGNA International Expatriate Benefits (CIEB) is pleased to announce the availability of CIGNALinks Africa. CIEB has partnered with Medical Services Organisation (MSO) and Global Access Health Network (GAHN) to expedite medical claims processing and to provide access to medical services through local health care professionals and facilities in South Africa, Tanzania, Kenya, and Morocco.
The new relationship in Africa will allow customers whose employers have opted-in to CIGNALinks to receive discounts when accessing care from doctors and hospitals in the CIGNALinks Africa network. CIEB remains the single point of contact for customers with CIGNALinks Africa; however, the health care facilities will work directly with MSO to settle claims.
CIEB launched the CIGNALinks programs in 2005 to simplify the administration of health care payment and claims for expatriates and their families through relationships with local health care administrators. The programs are available free of charge to CIEB clients, however utilization of the program offerings may favorably affect claim spending.
CIGNALinks programs enable CIEB to fulfill its commitment to serving its customers wherever they are in the world. In 2009, CIEB expanded its health care facility network outside of the United States by more than a third. Its direct-settlement network currently includes 141,000 doctors, hospitals, and clinics in more than 205 countries and jurisdictions. The company serves customers virtually everywhere in the world, offering covered expatriates and business travelers 24/7/365 customer service regardless of their location.
